Enjoy the Gower Peninsula

The Gower peninsular measures sixteen by eight miles, small but so much to see with the benefit of not having to travel too far. With a large number of beaches dotted around its coastline, many within walking distance of the apartment. Not all the beaches are included on this map, some of which really do warrant a visit. I plan to mention all later. Walking around the Gower coastal path will take four to six days, or so they say! It might take me a little longer to walk those sixty five miles! Perhaps you are up for that challenge or maybe it will be no challenge at all! However there are so many varied shorter walks, all with wonderful scenery along the way, some linear, some circular some walking into the very heart of the Gower. Some steep climbs but the views make it all worth it. If the Gower had a capital it would be Mumbles. Mumbles has managed to retain it's charm but has still moved with the times and attracted many small businesses into the area. Giving a huge choice of restaurants and cafes and independent shops. a Norman castle, supermarkets, a post office, pubs, a coastal footpath leading to the Mumbles Pier.
